High-low Dress In The Winter

Many people have trouble with transitioning some of their summer favourites into fall and winter. You may feel like you can't wear a neon top or a bright floral dress during this season, but if it's styled with warmer colours or accessories then you may be able to pull it off without trouble or looking out of place.

I've taken a very popular trend from the summer, the classic high-low dress, and transitioned it into a winter outfit using leggings and colours that are currently on trend. I wanted a gothic-rocker kind of look so I added the studded accessories, making it the main focus of the outfit. That also brought out the gold-button detailing on the shoulders of this dress. Win/win.

Tell me how you plan on wearing some of your summer pieces this season!

  1. Love this look, Anum! I wear all my summer stuff though the winter too, just adding layers as I go. Wrap sweaters, scarves, tights, socks, boots, gloves...the list could go on and on. Sometimes I totally forget to accessorize, though, and I'm loving your rocker chic bracelet!

    1. Layers are awesome - I always add sweaters and such as well! There are some colours I steer away from but I generally try to make it work somehow!

  2. Great outfit! Love the idea of transitioning pieces for wear throughout the year. That clutch is amazing! Hope you're having a great week! :)

    1. Thanks Steph! Love your comments always.

  3. I love this look! I'm big on buying clothing that can be worn in summer and winter and I love how you wore this high-low with the knit leggings. Love the blog! I'm your newest follower :)
