Outfit Details: Polka-dot Top (Forever 21), Skirt + Leggings (H&M), Accessories (Butterfly Beads)

This is just a quick note to wish you all a happy holiday! Hope you're enjoying it with your friends & family.

I've been so busy the last little while with travelling and meeting people that I've barely had time for this blog. Once all the parties and holiday events are over I will be back in full swing with outfit posts, constant Twitter-ing, networking, and possibly even a new layout! (I'm getting really bored with this one)

Cheers to everyone! Come back in the new year (next Wednesday) for more fun stuff. :)

High-low Dress In The Winter

Outfit Details: Black High-low Dress (Forever 21), Maroon Leggings + Necklace (H&M), Oxford Booties (Aldo), Bracelet (Drama Queen by Flhair), Ring (Myles Sexton)

Many people have trouble with transitioning some of their summer favourites into fall and winter. You may feel like you can't wear a neon top or a bright floral dress during this season, but if it's styled with warmer colours or accessories then you may be able to pull it off without trouble or looking out of place.

I've taken a very popular trend from the summer, the classic high-low dress, and transitioned it into a winter outfit using leggings and colours that are currently on trend. I wanted a gothic-rocker kind of look so I added the studded accessories, making it the main focus of the outfit. That also brought out the gold-button detailing on the shoulders of this dress. Win/win.

Tell me how you plan on wearing some of your summer pieces this season!

Glam Dress Giveaway!

Outfit Details: Teal Rouched Dress (c/o E-Closet), Earrings + Ring (Forever 21), Bracelets (local market), Clutch (SPRING Shoes)

The holidays are coming up and naturally I'm excited because of all the festive outfits I will get to put together! The dress photographed above was kindly given to me by E-Closet, an affordable and trendy online clothing store for ladies. The beaded detailing caught my eye at first glance and the quality of the fabric is amazing!

I will be wearing this dress tomorrow night to HoHoTO, the biggest end-of-the-year party that happens in Toronto. It's held annually at The Mod Club to raise funds for Toronto's Daily Bread Food Bank. It's my first year going and if you're free, get your ticket and come with me! If you can't make it you can still donate online (via PayPal) to a great cause.

Win a dress just like mine!

Now for the exciting part... E-Closet has generously offered to give the same dress (new of course) to one lucky reader! It is a dark teal colour made of 60% polyester, 35% rayon, 5% spandex, and comes in sizes Small, Medium and Large. You can find more detailed photos and information here.

Sick Day

|

I've been sick with a tooth and throat infection since the weekend (gross I know) but I couldn't let that keep me from doing a post this week! Instead of doing my usual OOTD I thought I'd get a little more creative and do a makeup look instead. I actually love makeup and have quite an obsession with collecting it, but believe me, everything gets used!

For the look above I primarily used Coastal Scents 252 Ultimate Eye Shadow Palette (purples, greys, black) and highlighted my brow-bone with "Virgin" from the Urban Decay Naked Palette. The Peacock Paper Lashes were given to me by MICHA Lash; aren't they stunning?! I finished the look with black liquid liner and pencil liner.

This is how I pass the time if I'm ever bored or sick at home and don't want to linger in bed. What makes you feel better when you're ill? I'd love to know!
