Another year has come and *almost* gone! I was recently send some new makeup goodies to try over the holidays (photographed above), and I felt so inspired that I created two super easy looks for you to rock on New Years Eve!
If you're anything like me and still need to do some of your shopping, I know the perfect place to pick something up for the people in your life: The Body Shop! Almost every woman has a collection from there that they gravitate towards and although most men won't admit it publicly, they're usually pretty satisfied with products from The Body Shop as well.
My favourite part about The Body Shop is that they have gift sets in different price ranges that are nicely packaged, so you don't even have to go through the hassle of gift wrapping... unless you enjoy it. ;)
If you've been following my blog or social media channels you probably know that I got married to the man of my dreams about two months ago. We've been together for more than five years and while he initially proposed really early in our relationship, we didn't begin planning the wedding until late last year.
Happy December! Christmas is only 25 days away and I couldn't be more excited. This is a month of gifting and I've partnered with Oxford Urban Retail to share a fun campaign they've got going on to celebrate!
If you keep up with news in the beauty world you may have heard that last week Revlon introduced its global brand re-launch, which now has a tagline attached: REVLON LOVE IS ON. I always find it really exciting (and inspiring) how a company decides to alter its brand and/or image; for Revlon, their new mission is to inspire love.
With the re-launch Revlon will be introducing a whole line of new products in December and January 2015, and I got a sneak peek of all the goodies coming to a drugstore near you!
I was a bit hesitant on showing photos of all our wedding-related events throughout the last couple of months, but so many of you requested to see more than just a glimpse on social media, so I thought I'd share some snaps of the more important events like the bridal shower and now, our mayoun.
Since the wedding three weeks ago my hubby and I hadn't really gotten a chance to have some downtime in our condo. This weekend I finally got to put my feet up and take a long, relaxing bath. I used NSPA products for the first time and I have to say I'm super impressed. Everything smells so delightful and once I finished my bath time routine, I noticed the fruity fragrance had taken over our entire apartment!
NSPA is a UK-based company that offers luxury spa products at an affordable price. The brand recently launched in Walmart. Keep reading to find out how you can have a chance at winning some items to try yourself!
If you're looking for ways to refresh your wardrobe this season, join me and Cat Footwear for Twitter Party on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 9 p.m. ET! We'll be talking about fall fashion, upcoming trends for the colder months and giving away incredible prizes throughout the hour that you don't want to miss out on.
Autumn is officially here and I couldn't be more excited. In celebration of this season I've collaborated with Cat Footwear to create this fun video of me styling an outfit wearing a fabulous pair of Megs Plaid booties from their fall/winter 2014 collection.
A few weeks ago I was invited to spend an evening at Me & T Studio with Elaine Atkins (Toronto Beauty Reviews) and Christine Pantazis. I wasn't familiar with the studio but the team offered to pamper us for an evening with mani/pedis and delicious treats, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity.
When I got to Me & T Studio (1568 Yonge St, Toronto) I was surprised by how pretty the salon was! Everything was styled to perfection.
When the year started, a friend of mine told me 2014 will be one of the busiest years of my life. The project manager in me immediately told them that this wouldn't happen; but with wedding planning, an intense work schedule, condo hunting AND all my side projects (including this wonderful blog), I am now starting to realize that they were right.
Not that I'm complaining because I'm truly grateful for all that I've achieved at 25-years-old and am super excited about each of the things mentioned above, but it does get a little hectic and overwhelming as I have to divide my time each day to make sure I take care of everything I need to get done.
After working non-stop for the last 7 months I finally took a little vacay to New Jersey with family to celebrate my cousin's wedding. It was nice to spend quality time with her before she got married, and great to see all my other cousins and introduce them to James. I decided not to take my laptop so I could get away 100% and truly just enjoy being offline.
It's good to back home and at work. My blog is now 2-years-old, which is exciting and a bit hard to believe. I really hope to get back into the routine of writing regularly again; there are so many drafts that I need to complete. I also have some fun campaigns that I'll be launching soon, stay tuned!
In the heart of Yorkville filled with men in suits and women with shopping bags, there lies a beautiful hair studio called Oskar on Scollard (68 Scollard, Toronto). The moment I walked in I was immediately drawn to the colour palette, unique furniture and chandeliers on the ceiling. I knew that I'd love it here.
With less than 90 days left to the wedding, the excitement (and nervousness) is really starting to build up. For the longest time we didn't bother with an engagement shoot, thinking it wasn't something we desperately needed. Our engagement ceremony in Pakistan was more extravagant than we thought and got some great photos to share from it. However, a few friends suggested we do one for memories and just for the "fun of it", so we gave it a shot!
We finally took the time recently to do the engagement shoot and we are both SO happy that we actually went through with it. It was nice to spend a beautiful morning together doing what we love to do and having it all captured for us. For those of you iffy about engagement shoots, I highly recommend you do it! Think of a story or theme in your mind and it will make the process a lot easier and more enjoyable.
Ever since I first discovered LUSH back in grade 12 I have been in love with their fresh, handmade products. From the bath bombs to shower scrubs and luxurious hair treatments, there isn't anything I'm not confident in trying.
Nothing gets me ready and excited for the day quite like coffee; but in the summer I almost find it's too heavy when all I want is something light with the right amount of caffeine and endorsements to wake me up. Just a couple of years ago Starbucks introduced Refreshers, which are made from real fruit, B vitamins and shaken with caffeine from Green Coffee Flavour.
This summer Starbucks is spreading good energy by introducing through three new flavours: Raspberry Pomegranate, Strawberry Lemonade and Blueberry Acai! As part of the campaign, Starbucks has been giving away samples of the Starbucks Refreshers at various major events in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, so you may get a chance to try them as well. Continue reading to find out which flavour I liked the most!
Have you heard? Every day for the past three weeks of June The Kit has been sharing their favourite products of 2014, naming them "One-Minute Miracles". From skincare to makeup, all of the top 27 chosen products have one thing in common: they help achieve results instantly, or more precisely under 60 seconds!
I'm always curious about what products others love, so when The Kit asked me to test out some of the miraculous products, I just couldn't resist. Keep reading to find out what my top five picks are from the One-Minute Miracles!
Drinking water has always been a struggle for me. While I try my hardest to drink as much as I can daily, I'd much rather grab a juice or not have anything at all. When Blossom Lounge andbkrasked me to participate in a 30-day challenge, I thought it would be a fun way to find out how much water I actually drink and if it's even enough.
I have an addiction... to online shopping. The quickest and most seamless way for me to keep updating my wardrobe is to make lists of things I really like and bookmark them online, that way when I'm ready to make the purchase it's only one click away. I recently discovered eBay Collections and I'm excited to share my experience with you.
As a full-time worker,
blogger and social butterfly, my calendar is usually filled with at least two
or three things per day. It could be anywhere from going to a meeting, then an
event, followed by dinner and drinks with friends or family. While having a
busy schedule has its perks, it can definitely become overwhelming. Most people
would probably agree with me when my biggest dilemma every morning is: What
will I wear today?!
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending Nine West's Fall/Winter 2014 preview at The Beverley Hotel in Toronto. They presented upcoming trends from various brands including Nine West, Nine West Kids, Enzo Angiolini, Easy Spirit, Anne Klein, Bandolino, Charles David, Taryn Rose, and many more.
The weather forecast finally looks like it is starting to warm up; even the slightest bit of sun is getting everyone excited about patio season. With picnic afternoons and beach days around the corner, it's time we start to prepare one of the most delicate areas on our body: underarms!
Presented in three haute couture designs, The Revlon by Marchesa Beauty Tools is a collection of 7 items, two of which are full sets. I'm a sucker for lace, so naturally, this entire collection quickly became a staple in my routine. What I love the most is how travel-friendly everything is; you can easily fit it in a cosmetic bag and carry it with you at all times.
Winter is a harsh month to get through, mentally and physically. Typically by the end of the season, my skin is completely dehydrated and I lose track of the amount of headaches I've had. However, one thing that really stood out this year from the rest are my lips.... Epic Blend Premium Lip Balm truly saved them!
