Drinking water has always been a struggle for me. While I try my hardest to drink as much as I can daily, I'd much rather grab a juice or not have anything at all. When Blossom Lounge and bkr asked me to participate in a 30-day challenge, I thought it would be a fun way to find out how much water I actually drink and if it's even enough.
The blossomxbkr challenge is to drink 2.5 litres of water per day, which is the equivalent of 5 bkr bottles. Once the 30-day challenge is over, you may notice a big difference in your skin; it could feel softer, more hydrated and better overall.
A great way to track the amount you drink each day is to add five elastic bands to your bottle; each time you go for a refill, take one off.
Super stoked about the challenge, I made sure to keep mybkr bottle with me at all times. I took it to work, carried it around at events and even brought it to people's houses when I visited.
The first week was tough to get through. I could easily polish off 3 fills but the last two were difficult. I realized that while I drink a lot of water at work, it's not something I gravitate towards in the evenings.
Once I started keeping my bkr bottle in my handbag and by my bed, it started to act as a reminder to keep drinking more water. The challenge became a lot smoother and now I don't struggle to drink 2.5 litres of water everyday.
The blossomxbkr challenge has truly helped me realize that my water intake wasn't enough and now I'm actively making an effort to drink more. I can't be 100 per cent certain that my skin became better within the 30 days, but for the last week or so I haven't had the usual redness on my cheeks and actually wore considerably less makeup; I just haven't felt the need to wear it, which is nice.
I'm sad that the challenge has come to an end, but I will definitely still be taking mybkr bottle with me on all upcoming adventures this summer!
