Have you heard? Every day for the past three weeks of June The Kit has been sharing their favourite products of 2014, naming them "One-Minute Miracles". From skincare to makeup, all of the top 27 chosen products have one thing in common: they help achieve results instantly, or more precisely under 60 seconds!
I'm always curious about what products others love, so when The Kit asked me to test out some of the miraculous products, I just couldn't resist. Keep reading to find out what my top five picks are from the One-Minute Miracles!
Consonant Skin Perfecting Body Scrub: I'll be honest, I usually don't use products if they aren't scented but I was pleasantly surprised to use this scrub and still have an enjoyable, relaxing experience. The organic, unscented gentle consistency feels hydrating on the skin and is a nice addition to my summer routine.
Dermalogica Antioxidant Hydramist: I have recently started using Dermalogica products, so I was really excited to try this one. After cleansing I sprayed the Hydramist on my face and neck, and instantly felt incredible. It's great to use before and/or after a work-out as well, because it keeps your face from feeling muggy and helps cool you down. ;)
Mary Kay Finishing Spray: This formula does EVERYTHING. It's perfect for the early mornings when you have to to set your makeup for the entire day; spritz some of this stuff all over your face (yes, even eye makeup!) and let it be. I tested it a couple of times as I had conferences and parties to attend, and it truly worked like magic.
Sally Hansen Cuticle Rehab: I have the worst cuticles ever, sometimes I worry you can even see how bad they are in photos! I'd almost given up on trying to find a good cuticle oil formula, but this might be it. I love that it glides on and blends so easily without using too much product. It's also very light and doesn't have a strange scent like I've experienced with some of the other ones.
Smashbox Liquid Halo HD Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15: It's hard to find formulas that claim full coverage and also have SPF; as a woman who has suffered with sun allergies since birth it takes me a long time to find the right foundation for summer. I was instantly impressed with the coverage of this foundation and actually tested it out in my last style post, and it survived the challenge! It may feel a bit heavy because it's supposed to be used when you know you'll be photographed, but you get used to it quickly.
I'd love to know what you've been loving lately for spring/summer! The Kit currently has a contest where you could also have a chance to try a box full of One-Minute Miracles. All you have to do is share a photo of one of YOUR favourite products using the hashtag #oneminutemiracle; be sure to follow them on Twitter and/or Instagram! Tag me as well so I can see what product(s) you like.
