A few weeks ago I was invited to spend an evening at Me & T Studio with Elaine Atkins (Toronto Beauty Reviews) and Christine Pantazis. I wasn't familiar with the studio but the team offered to pamper us for an evening with mani/pedis and delicious treats, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity.
When I got to Me & T Studio (1568 Yonge St, Toronto) I was surprised by how pretty the salon was! Everything was styled to perfection.
As soon as we walked in we were greeted by our blogger-friend Stephanie Fusco, who put the event together, and the friendly team at Me & T Studio: Liz, Shawna, Shirley and Dylan. We all got along instantly and I knew that I was in good hands.
Can we please talk about this delicious spread of goodies they had set up for us? There was candy, popcorn, cupcakes, brownies and different types of cookies.
This evening really didn't do much for the wedding diet I've been trying to implement for the last couple of months before the big day. Oh well, I don't regret eating that delicious sandwich cookie!
Each one of us had a staff member taking care of us for the entire evening, from refilling our drinks to making sure we're as comfortable as possible while getting our treatments done.
I'm not huge on pedicures, in fact, I try to avoid them as much as possible. I usually get really squirmy and ticklish but I truly enjoyed the pedicure at Me & Studio. Dylan, the nail technician who did my mani/pedi, was very gentle and catered to my concerns right away.
For my toes I got a beautiful blend of two types of red (won't share a photo because I generally don't like feet).
Dylan asked if he could be a little more adventurous with my fingernails and I said yes right away. The nail technicians at Me & T Studio are so talented, we oo'd and ahh'd as they showed us their designs. They weren't kidding when they said they could do any type of nail art!
I wanted something blush-and-gold as I'm simply obsessed with this combination, so Dylan worked his magic with some gold foil and this was the look:
I was SO happy with the nail art! He brought my vision to life but somehow managed to make it even better. My cuticles look terrible in this photo because I had gotten a manicure a few days prior and the lady did a terrible job. Dylan tried to be as gentle and clean as possible.
My manicure lasted me at least three weeks, I was able to celebrate my 25th birthday and enjoy a wedding in New Jersey without having to worry about doing my nails constantly. After three weeks I noticed a bit of wear-and-tear so I decided to take them off. My toes lasted even longer, and I just took the colour off this past weekend.
All manicures and pedicures at Me & Studio include a paraffin treatment with essential oils. I'd never experienced this before; it's basically an oil-based wax that provides pain relief and relaxation to your hands, feet and any sore joints or muscles. This was a nice gesture towards the end and truly made my hands and feet smell and feel super soft and dewy.
