REVLON LOVE IS ON: Global Brand Re-Launch

Monday, November 24, 2014

If you keep up with news in the beauty world you may have heard that last week Revlon introduced its global brand re-launch, which now has a tagline attached: REVLON LOVE IS ON. I always find it really exciting (and inspiring) how a company decides to alter its brand and/or image; for Revlon, their new mission is to inspire love.

With the re-launch Revlon will be introducing a whole line of new products in December and January 2015, and I got a sneak peek of all the goodies coming to a drugstore near you!

Revlon PhotoReady Insta-Fix Makeup: Coming in 9 different shades, this stick can be used to retouch your face anytime - just throw it in your purse and use it whenever you need to! It applies and blends smoothly on to your skin and is light-weight, so you don't feel like you're wearing a lot of heavy concealer. The best part is that it contains SPF 20! The shade photographed is 140 Nude.

Revlon PhotoReady Prime + Anti Shine Balm: Translucent/clear powders are big thing these days and this product is right up there with them. This light-weight balm is good to use when you want to get rid of the natural oils without irritating your skin. You can wear it as a primer (base before you apply your foundation) or even on its own if you like the more natural look.

Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick: Coming in 20 shades, this lipstick is wax-free but still moisturizing and the colour is long-lasting. The biggest test for me when it comes to lipstick is if it stays on after having my morning coffee, and this one has passed! They are also scented, which is an added bonus. The shade photographed is 875 Gladiolus.

Revlon Ulttra HD Lip Lacquer: These shiny lip glosses come in 15 different shades and lather on super smoothly with the brush applicator. I love that they aren't sticky but still have an amazing finish with rich colour. The shade photographed is Fire Opal.

Of course, a couple of more Revlon nail polishes to add to my enormous collection! I'm super excited to try the Sultry blue (shade 495). The Transforming Effects Top Coat in 735 Golden Confetti also looks quite promising.

Huge congrats to my friends at Revlon Canada for all their marketing efforts with the re-launch! Follow along the journey through the hashtag #LOVEISONCA.
