New Year's Eve Makeup Ideas

|

Another year has come and *almost* gone! I was recently send some new makeup goodies to try over the holidays (photographed above), and I felt so inspired that I created two super easy looks for you to rock on New Years Eve!

NYE is one of those occasions where it doesn't matter whether you're planning to stay in or go out with friends, you have an excuse to dress up either way. Here are the two makeup looks I am sharing today with hopes of encouraging you to get glam'd up for tomorrow night.

NYE Makeup Look 1: Red Lips, Gold Lids

If you are more of a bright lip kind of girl, this makeup look may be for you. I've kept it relatively simple on the eyes by using gold as the main base and smoking out the corners with brown tones. You can choose how smokey and dark you want the crease to be; these shades go well with red lipstick.

Sidenote: I used Maybelline's Color Sensational Creamy Mattes lipstick collection for the first time and love how moisturizing and bright they are! I'm excited to try the rest of the shades.

Products used:
  • Maybelline Color Tattoo Leather, shade "80 Creamy Beige" (used this for eyeshadow base, worked very well and is long-lasting)
  • Maybelline The Nudes Palette, outlined the 4 shades I used in white
  • Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipstick, shade "690 Siren in Scarlet"
  • Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner by Eye Studio, shade "black"
  • Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara, shade "Soft Brown"
  • Face products and mascara of your choice

NYE Makeup Look 2: Smokey Eye, Nude Lips

Like more of a dramatic look? I usually opt for the grey & brown smokey eye when I want to make a bit of a statement; it's a classic look with a nude lip. This would look great if you're wearing and all-black outfit or even a bold print like the polka-dot top photographed.

I hope you liked the two looks I created for New Years Eve. This palette is great for traveling, and also nice to keep in your bag if you ever need to switch up your look from day to night. I was very impressed by how pigmented the shades were and lasted all day as well.

I'd love to know what you're planning to wear or do with your hair for NYE! Feel free to share them with me here or on social media. Be safe and have fun!
