The Kit, one of Canada's leading fashion and beauty publications, reviews thousands of products and each year, they narrow down their top 27 favourite items that they consider to be "one-minute miracles". For 2015 they categorized the winners into three categories: Game Changers, Impact Makers and Multi-Taskers.
I was so excited to receive a box full of goodies from The Kit and took my time testing out each product to pick the five that I thought were the best from the bunch. Trust me, it was a hard decision! Keep reading to find out which ones made the cut. Be sure to check out my One-Minute Miracles post from last year!
Caudalie Beauty Elixir: After trying this for the first time a few weeks ago, it quickly became an addition to my daily morning routine. I spray it on my face to wake myself up and mix it with my moisturizer and primer. It gives my makeup a really soft, dewy look. The essential oils and natural ingredients are supposed to tighten pores and keep your skin feeling smooth. I really love the scent, too!
Kiehl's Ultra Facial Moisturizer: My skin gets super sensitive and extra dry during the colder months, so I'm grateful I got to test out this moisturizer. It truly works wonders and prevented my cheeks from cracking like they usually do around this time of the year. I find a lot of facial creams to be either too sticky or harsh on the skin, but this one is non-greasy, very moisturizing and doesn't feel heavy or thick.
Kaia Juicy Bamboo Cleansing Cloths: These eco-friendly, lemon-scented wipes are heavenly! Not only do they remove your eye and face makeup, but also cleanse and tone your skin as you're wiping it gently. Claimed to be 99% natural and 100& bamboo, these wipes are infused with vitamin C, E, B12, honey and natural amino acids. I'll definitely be purchasing more after my container finishes.
Sally Hansen Gel Shine 3D Topcoat: I admit that I tend to hibernate a little in the winter, but now that my annual work conference is finished and I have a bit more time for myself, I've been painting my nails again and this topcoat has really been helping my manicure from chipping constantly. It's super shiny, glossy and removes easily too.
Vasanti Love Brights Gel Matte Lipstick in "Mad Love": I discovered Vasanti lipsticks a few weeks before The Kit also sent me a sample, and I've been really impressed with the matte (but moisturizing) formula. They are pretty, reasonably priced and come in a beautiful range of colours!
Here is one more that I couldn't resist adding to my list!
Suncoat Plant-Based Natural Nail Polish Remover Gel: This was my first time trying a remover gel and I'm amazed at how well it works. All you need to do is rub the gel on your nail, leave it there for a few minutes and the nail polish peels off easily. I tried this remover on a few different types of nail polish and it worked seamlessly each time! The natural plant-based formula is also good for cuticles and keeps them nourished while the gel works hard to remove the polish.
