Life can get pretty hectic sometimes. You get stuck in a routine of waking up early, rushing to work, going home to cook dinner and then quickly preparing for bed. Once in a while it's good to treat yourself, so I try to schedule in a facial at least once every season!
Recently I had the opportunity to visit the Miraj Hammam Spa by Caudalie at the Shangri-La Hotel in Toronto. It was beautifully decorated, inspired by the Middle Eastern culture, and lightly scented so that it wasn't over-empowering. Continue reading to find out how my facial went.
I tried the Caudalie Grand Facial at the Miraj Hammam Spa, which is specifically designed to relax and restore the skin, regulate moisture, and accelerate cellular renewal for radiant skin. When I first got to massaging bed, the lady taking care of me asked me what I wanted to get out of the session, so I immediately asked for extractions. Such a love-hate relationship with those, no? But I really do try to get extractions done every few months to help make my skin look younger and more fresh.
She did a fantastic job! I was really impressed with the results and all of the Caudalie products she used as well. Before this treatment I hadn't ever tried that line before, but now I swear by the Beauty Elixir.
After the treatment she took me to this stunning room where I could relax as much as I wanted, read magazines and enjoy Turkish tea and baklava. This is such a nice touch and a great way to end a spa session; definitely made me want to come back as soon as possible, just so I could hang out there!
If you haven't been to a spa for a facial or massage lately, I highly suggest to treat yourself and enjoy one at the Miraj Hammam Spa at the Shangri-la Hotel! It's well worth the price and I promise you will love everything about it.
