Earlier this summer I put a pause on some of my skincare staples and decided to wholeheartedly give Refresh Botanicals a try. This organic Canadian skincare brand offers a full line of products that essentially help you relieve, restore and revitalize. I'm happy to announce that I've come on-board as an ambassador and will be sharing my journey with you over the next few months!
The complete skincare line currently has:
- Foaming Facial Cleanser
- Daily Facial Moisturizer
- Eye + Face Makeup Remover
- Facial Toner
- Night Restore Complex
- BB Cream
- Intensive Serum
Since it's a big change on my skin to completely start using a whole new collection of products, I have eased into the process by giving a few items a shot first. I've been using the Foaming Facial Cleanser, Daily Facial Moisturizer, Eye + Face Makeup Remover and Intensive Serum on a daily basis.
The first couple of weeks were tough. If you've ever switched to a different cleanser or day or night cream, you probably know what I'm talking about. I noticed a little bit of a breakout but that's simply because my skin was beginning to adjust to the natural oils and water-based consistency of Refresh Botanicals.
Now, it's been more than two months since I've been using those four products and I'm happy to report that my skin is happy and healthy!
A big part of this program that I've joined and the mantra for Refresh Botanicals is to find new ways to #RefreshYourRoutine. Lately I've been trying to make an active effort of thinking and being positive, and it's really helped me accomplish a lot of things, little and big.
When I first started working I used to do 15-20 minutes of yoga every morning and every night; I'm not quite sure why I ever stopped... it was probably that I wanted to sleep more one morning, or an evening out broke the mould. I've definitely missed it, so this fall I'm going to bring it back into my routine. Wish me luck!
