There is something about autumn that truly brings out the "busy"ness of everyone. A lot of things happen around this time of year: back to school planning, Thanksgiving, Halloween and then Christmas starts to creep up!
Regardless, I wanted to share a little roundup of beauty products I have been using and loving over the last couple of months.
Benefit Cosmetics Fake-Up Undereye Hydrating Concealer: Every girl says this but I honestly do have a serious dark circle problem. I've been an advocate of Benefit's Boi-ing Concealer for many years, but recently I have been reaching for the Fake-Up Concealer more frequently. It is SUCH an easy product to apply on this rushed mornings, blends well and keeps your under-eye area moisturized throughout the day. I also keep the travel-size in my bag for touch ups just in case!
Kiehl's Ultra Facial Moisturizer: Okay, people have been loving this brand for MANY years and I really didn't know what the hype was all about until I got a couple of their products this fall. LOVE, absolutely LOVE. This facial moisturizer is true to its words; it's so hydrating, especially if you have dry skin like me. I apply it and give my face a little massage in the morning before applying any makeup, and it keeps my skin feeling good all day.
Bioderma Sensible H2O Makeup Removing Micelle Solution: I can't tell you how many bottles I've gone through of this stuff, but Sensible H2O is my favourite makeup remover! If you don't like oil-based solutions, you definitely need to try this one. It adds water to your face as it diligently works to remove makeup. I find that most makeup removers always leave some residue, but this cleans down to the pores. It also works well to remove eye makeup.
Drybar Hot Toddy Heat & UV Protectant: The first thing you'll immediately be drawn to is the scent: powdery, floral, clean. I'll admit I hardly ever use heat-protecting products in my hair, typically because they are either too sticky, too oily or have an awful smell. Drybar's Heat & UV Protectant feels half creamy, half soapy, so it absorbs into your hair really well when it's still wet. I've heard that it also works when your hair is dry, but I definitely like to use it after I wash my hair for full effect. My husband also comments at how nice my hair smells after I use it. :)
Essie Nail Polish in "Angora Cardi" and "Ladylike": These two nail lacquers have been a staple of mine since the end of August. Literally, as soon as it got cold I knew I needed to pick up a nice nude and berry-burgundy polish, and grabbed these two from Rexall. I like to pair them together for a nice contrast, but also use them separately. Aren't they just darling?!
