Day Trip to Isla Mujeres in Mexico

Endless Privileges. That's the motto Zoetry Wellness & Spa Resort abides by, and it couldn't be more suitable. We spent a beautiful day in Isla Mujeres and got to experience a whole other side of Mexico.

We arrived in Cancun early morning, just in time to catch our private yacht to the island. Some people took this as an opportunity to nap, but James and I observed the coastline and amazing architecture that surrounded the bright blue water. Once we got to the island, we walked over to the resort and were immediately greeted with friendly faces.

The Zoetry Resort chain is unique from others; it offers an experience that exceeds all expectations:
  • No check-in or check-out times
  • 24-hour private in-suite dining
  • Maid service three times a day
  • Complimentary laundry service
  • A welcome bottle of rum or tequila as well as sparkling wine and fresh fruit daily
  • Bvlgari bath amenities
  • and much more!
It was beautiful from every angle, and each area of the resort (including the rooms) was curated to perfection. The idea is to relax and let go of all worries as soon as you walk into the lobby. We went on a tour and had a marvellous lunch that was especially prepared for us; I'm still trying to figure out how they made the ravioli, it's now one of my favourite dishes! Zoetry is also known to host celebrities and accommodate private parties for them if they need the entire resort.

Later in the afternoon we all hopped in golf carts and went on a fun ride through the island. This was when we got to see a bit more of Mexican culture, took touristy photos by the Atlantic Ocean and do our souvenir shopping.

When we go back to Mexico, I would love to set time aside to explore Isla Mujeres a little more, dig into it's history and enjoy some delicious street food!
