Bright colours, bold prints, pastel shades. That's what we usually think of when summer comes to mind. However, after seeing a lot of neutral on the runway for spring/summer, OPI came out with the Infinite Shine Summer 2016 collection, which features six stunning neutral shades ranging from light pinks to beige, as well as a couple of nude colours with a hint of yellow and brown.
Infinite Shine is a 3-step process. The idea is to have a DIY manicure that offers shine and long wear, similar to gel polish, but to be removed quickly and easily if needed:
- Apply Infinite Shine Primer; it's stronger than any base coat and helps keep the colour and grip in place for longer.
- Pick your gel-lacquer shade (in this case, I recommend one of the six neutral shades from this collection) and paint two thin coats.
- Complete your manicure with the Infinite Shine Gloss as your top coat.
The nail lacquer I'm wearing is Staying Neutral On This One, and oh boy, is it the perfect nude shade. The lasting power has been as long as six days for me without seeing any chipping.
I've slowly been getting through each shade and am super excited to wear the collection well into the fall. Neutrals go well with hot chocolate!
