Out of the five senses we all have, smell is definitely my strongest one. I can smell something from a distance and take a pretty good hint at what it could be. Some say it's a gift, but of course... that depends on what the smell is! I even have names for certain scents such as the "outside smell" or "rain smell". I know, I'm a weirdo.
Since I'm so in touch with that sensory of mine, fragrance is a very important, personal thing to me. I wear a different perfume almost daily and it is all dependent on what I'm doing that day, where I'm going and how the weather is outside.
I'm sharing my four favourite fragrances that will be on repeat this fall - continue reading to find out which ones I'm loving!
L'Occitane Arlesienne Eau de Toilette: When I was first introduced to this fragrance at a L'Occitane preview, I didn't like it at all. It must have been because there was a lot going on and it was overwhelming the actual scent. I finally tried it last week and OH MAN, was I missing out.
It is clean, delicate with a hint of floral; perfect for those breezy days when you want to embrace the crisp, cold air. This fragrance goes well with cozy knits and chunky sweaters!
Chloé See By Chloé Eau Fraîche: This has been a fall staple for me for many years and NEVER lets me down. It's my favourite from all the Chloé perfumes!
It has sweet, fresh floral notes but there is something more elderly about it. I often opt for this perfume when I'm meeting someone new or at a networking event because it's subtle but a scent that can generally be appreciated by anyone.
(PS not sure if you can tell but the bottle is almost EMPTY, can't wait to pick it up again!)
Dior J'adore Eau de Parfum: The ultimate girls night out fragrance! I absolutely love wearing this to dinner parties, gatherings or when I'm out with my girlfriends. When you first spray it on, you'll smell the strong floral notes but it gradually settles down to a sultry, musky scent that lasts a very long time on your body. I also like the body lotion that you can get if you buy a gift set!
Crush by Rihanna: I recently added this to my growing collection of perfumes (thanks Shoppers Drug Mart!) and I'm obsessed. It's sweet, sexy and smells so much like good candy on a Friday afternoon. It's a perfect everyday scent but you can also choose to keep it for special occasions like an upcoming anniversary or Valentine's Day.
The only thing I dislike about this fragrance is the packaging! It's heavy and super awkward to hold and spray on yourself. The first couple of times I actually got my husband to spray it on me until I finally got the hang of it. I'm surprised this sort of complaint didn't come through as Rihanna used the same bottle for another perfume in the past too. I'm seriously considering taking its contents out and putting it in another spray bottle! I really like the fragrance.
I hope I helped you find a fall scent that can work for you! Let me know if you'll be picking up any/all of these and if you'd like to see more of these types of posts.
