Ottawa always feels very nostalgic (and comforting) to me. I went to university there; found my passion for entrepreneurship back when I was 18 and didn't know anyone. Began exploring my identity, style and independence in the same city.
Coincidentally, it also happens to be James' hometown, which gives us the opportunity to visit often. Whenever we go back we try to check out new restaurants/pubs or landmarks we hadn't been to in a while. This time it was a big family dinner at Saunders Farm, a hidden gem in the suburbs of Ottawa.
We went through mazes, played with our nieces + nephews in the big open fields and ate delicious local food. My mother-in-law and I even went down a HUGE slide; didn't think it was possible but we did it...twice. It was truly refreshing to get out of the city and make time for nature and family.
If you're ever in Ottawa or close, go to the farm for a picnic, leisurely stroll or even a photo shoot (like the one I sneaked in)!
