Cocooning Weekend with Yves Rocher

|

As we get closer to the weekend, I try to map out what it’s going to look like, the things I need to get done and how I can squeeze in some personal time. Working in the digital space (social media + blogging) means that you’re pretty much online 24/7, but there are a few ways that I like to unplug and enjoy a few quiet, relaxing hours.

Run a hot bath and enjoy it

No one enjoys a good bath as much as me. I like to ease into the weekend by soaking up the bubbles and letting my mind wander. The only downside to bathing is how dry and patchy my skin gets after due to the hot water! A couple of products that I like to use to help bring moisture back are:

Yves Rocher Light Legs Fresh Gel All Skin Types: After a long week, I love applying this to soothe and relax my legs. The gel texture is meant to relieve sore areas and prevent tired or achy legs.

Yves Rocher Moisturizing Lotion Dry Skin: Even though I do enjoy body oils from time to time, I often reach for body lotion because it feels lighter, is less messy and replenishes my skin all the same. This one contains organic aloe vera from a sustainable plant supplier. Yves Rocher’s mantra is all about respecting the earth and collaborates with various local companies using organic farming. Each product has pure ingredients and a natural light scent, which I love!

Hydrate and rejuvenate with a mask

Something I’ve recently added to my “personal time” on weekends is masking. I find this to be one of the best ways of plumping and rejuvenating my skin so that it’s ready to take on another week! Yves Rocher’s Anti-Wrinkle Fusion Mask is simply a 15-minute process that helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. It has natural ingredients and is perfume, colorant and mineral-oil free; all of this helps to make your face look radiant.

People don’t like to talk about it, but can we just admit that weekends are for doing those little things that we do to make us look good? I’m talking waxing/threading, getting rid of those dreaded blackheads and removing unwanted facial hair…

Once I spend some time “working” on my face, I like to exfoliate and do a deep cleanse to wash it all off.

Give yourself a nice manicure

I can’t tell you how often I do my nails a few minutes before heading out the door to a meeting or event! By the time I lock the door or get in the car, I’ve already smudged (or completely ruined) them. Because of my hectic schedule, it’s also difficult to schedule appointments to get a manicure every couple of weeks. Instead, I take 30 minutes on the weekend to pick a colour from my collection and spend time filing and painting my nails. I’ll do this while watching a movie or read a book after to prevent them from getting ruined.

Yves Rocher Botanical Color Nail Polish: The fan-shaped brush on this polish is like no other, and glides on smoothly and gets almost the entire nail in one shot! You also probably didn’t know this, but Yves Rocher’s nail polish range is incredible, coming in 50 different shades. I’m so excited to play with the holiday collection (which I will share soon)!

Hope you found my tips helpful for personal, relaxing time. I urge you to book an hour for yourself and do some of the things listed above!
