Must-Haves from Pixi Beauty

|

I came across Pixi Beauty a few years ago when Target came to Canada. Sadly, when that chain failed miserably here and shut down all its stores, it meant that all good beauty brands I had discovered left along with it.

Now, Pixi Beauty is available at select Shoppers Drug Marts across Canada and I was so excited to give this line another chance! I was fortunate to receive a whole range of goodies from the brand and I'm sharing my five must-haves with you.

Pixi Beauty Book of Beauty Contour Creator: I love a nice, warm contour kit and this one fits the bill! The packaging is super light-weight, easy to take with you when you travel or even if you want to have it in your everyday bag. The shade range is beautiful with three highlighting shades (two matte, one shimmery) and three bronzing/contouring shades. I originally thought that the contouring shades won't work well on my skin tone, but was pleasantly surprised! Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel if you haven't already, I'll be featuring this in a makeup tutorial soon so you can see how I apply it.

Pixi Beauty Black Lacquer Lash Primer: Why haven't I come across something similar like this before? Lash primer definitely serves a purpose, especially if you're looking for fuller, more voluminous lashes but I always wonder why the gel is clear. To add more emphasis, I strongly recommend you try this one! It is a black lash primer and brings more va-va-voom to your overall look. You can use it simply as a tint, or you can apply it before you use your mascara to give a more voluminous effect.

Pixi Beauty Glow Tonic: This stuff is MAGIC. Everything you've seen or heard about the Glow Tonic is true. Before I had the chance to try it, I remember getting the bottle and thinking that I was now part of some sacred club, that is how much I've heard about this! Not only does this toner cleanse your face, it is alcohol-free (hard to find these days!), hydrates the skin and brings radiance. I'm already done with a small sample-size bottle, and now I'm starting to dive into the 500 ML.

Pixi Beauty Vitamin Wakeup Mist: This is another toner that you can mist all over your face and neck, but you can use it either before moisturizing in the morning OR even after you've applied all your makeup. I definitely use it more as a setting spray and I'm happy to report that it has never ruined my makeup, and makes me feel fresh and fruity!

Pixi Beauty Flawless & Poreless Primer: This mattefying face primer is god-sent. I love that it feels tacky and has a bit of a thick consistency, which helps foundation and concealer stick better in my opinion. Another bonus is that it is oil-free and hypoallergenic. Yay! I'm definitely going to repurchase this once it's finished.
