Discovering La Gacilly with Yves Rocher

Tuesday, November 13, 2018

Out of all the trips we’ve been on through the years, France was a special one for both me and James. Not only did we get to see the Eiffel Tower, bike around Paris, hopscotch from one cafe to another… but we did it while pregnant AND got to experience the countryside of France that we wouldn’t have otherwise if it weren’t for Yves Rocher.

La Gacilly checked off a lot of bucket-list items for me:

Stay at a resort and experience organic life + meals from farm to table; La Grée des Landes, Eco-Hôtel Spa Yves Rocher, offered this and more! We were fed locally grown food for each meal, and got a chance to enjoy nature right from our rooms.

Visit a village in France and immerse myself in the culture; what an incredible way to be able to learn more about the country, its first language, the people and how they go about their daily lives. It was serene, quiet and exactly the kind of peace we didn’t know we needed away from the crazy busy city life.

These cornflowers are harvested and grown at Jardin boutique Yves Rocher, and its properties can be found in one of my favourite products, the Express Eye Makeup Remover.

Find out how flowers and other plants are used in cosmetics; at Jardin botanique Yves Rocher (botanical gardens), we truly got to see the production side of things -- how these botanicals are grown, harvested, and used in makeup and skincare. It was also really interesting to hear the life cycle of these plants, some need to be used right away while others can be kept for years!

I’m constantly in awe every time I think back on our trip or look at the footage we were able to capture. If you ever find yourself in France with a few days to spare, I highly recommend hopping on a train to Redon Station (closest stop to La Gacilly) to discover the homeland of Yves Rocher.

+ + + + + + + + + +

This is not a sponsored post, however I'd like to give a huge thank you to Yves Rocher Canada for allowing me and my husband the opportunity to travel to France with them for an incredible experience! All content is original and opinions are my own.
