Review of Biotherm Aquasource and Biosource

|

Skincare is very important to me. My favourite thing to do is cleanse, and I have a day and night-time routine I've been attached to for years. Every now and then I give new products a try and some work well for me and become a new staple, especially as I age, while others... are tossed in the bin.
I recently had the opportunity to try some well-known products from Biotherm's Aquasource and Biosource line and was pleasantly surprised by how my skin felt after only a week.

As photographed above, I was sent:

I started the Biotherm experience with the Biosource Exfoliating Cleansing Gel and followed with the Biosource Toning Lotion. I'll admit I don't use a toner on a regular basis, so I thought it would be good to see what it would do to my skin. I was really surprised at how light both products felt. I didn't have to use too much either, as pouring a little into my palm went a long way. The next day I tried the 48-Hour Replenishing Gel, and my skin had officially felt heaven. It applied so smoothly and made my face feel soft all day.

Third day into the Biotherm trial and I began to include the Aquasource Deep Serum, which I applied during the day and the Aquasource Night right before bed. I honestly thought I would start missing some of my regular skincare products by now, but instead I actually began to enjoy this new routine. My skin hadn't shown any negative signs, and feels slightly healthier than usual.

Out of the six products I received, the only one I haven't gotten to yet is the BB Cream. I was a bit hesitant because when it comes to foundation, I like to use a light formula that would give me decent coverage for the day. BB creams are typically heavier but when I swatched this one, it actually felt more like a light facial moisturizer so I will give it a chance this week.

Overall I'm glad I decided to give Biotherm a chance. It's only been a week since I've been using these products so it's too early to say what I loved or disliked, but so far I've really been loving the change and my skin has been thankful for it too because of the harsh winter.

Biotherm actually has some cool things happening in Toronto this week. In celebration of Valentine's Day, the brand partnered with Canadian artist, Olivia Mew, to create original postcard illustrations for its Aquasource collection. They're hosting an event on Friday, February 14 at Hudson's Bay on Queen Street (12-7 p.m.) where you can meet the artist in-person and get a custom illustration and Biotherm Aquasource sample! You can also collect the postcards with the purchase of any Biotherm item available at Hudson's Bay or Shoppers Drug Mart locations across Canada.

My favourite is this one... :)
